This release contains a few missing recipes that you will have yourself as well as a lack of FX, there's an upcoming update that will sort all of this out!!!
Project Background
Ex Sartagine: Requiem is a fork and continuation of the original open-source project ( "Ex Sartagine") by Absolem Jackdaw, made with his permission.
This mod was brought back to life thanks to the RotN team for use in their pack with member Foreck directing the project as well as providing any new assets, IItemStack doing all the coding and heavy work, CalaMariGold and Kompy_87Â managing commissions, for the purpose of using it in the modpack Rebirth of the Night; however, the mod is perfect for anyone looking to make the cooking system of Minecraft more or even less complex.
What does the mod do?
The primary use of Ex Sartagine: Requiem is for modpack developers to add different recipes using its different stations; quoting the original mod, by default, Ex Sartagine allows you to save up on coal, distribute the heat in a multi-block cooking range, cook food faster, and smelt ores more efficiently. EVERYTHING can be customized through Craft Tweaker, recipes, recipe time for the kettle, blocks that act as heaters, whether to render standing legs, etc. Check the Pages tab for documentation.
By default, cookware works on multiblocks known as cooking ranges. There are two cooking ranges and a few pieces of cookware:
Cooking Ranges
Hearth and Hearth Cooking Range
Up to one extension can be added for two surfaces on which to cook. It requires ignition with a flint & steel or being upgraded to automatic (configurable and customizable, add custom upgrade items via the ore dictionary ore:self_igniter
)
Stove and Stove Cooking Range
Up to three extensions can be added for four surfaces on which to cook. Just add fuel and it will start burning (can be changed to manual ignition in the config)
Cookware
Bake Kettle
The most important addition for mod pack makers made by this fork: · Support for any forge liquid in recipes (doesn't retain contents when broken) · 3x3 recipe grid for shaped and shapeless recipes plus a Catalyst slot for an extra ingredient --> 3x3 slots for multiple outputs
Wok
A GUI-less block that can cook 3x3 recipes with liquid support and requiring interaction with a spatula
-
No need for coal
-
GUI-less
-
Crafttweaker support for recipes using liquids and requiring stirring with a "spatula" (wooden shovel by default, oredict: 'spatula')
Cooking Pot
- Uses water and cooks a single item faster than a regular furnace
Smelter
- Smelts ores with a 33% chance to produce extra output
Finally, the mod adds a conservative but healthy amount of food items, most of which come with default recipes:
