Changes
- Updated to support 1.21 - support for older versions will be dropped
- As part of the port to 1.21, Things now uses Accessories instead of Trinkets to implement its accessory items. Accessories is available on both Fabric and NeoForge and also supports other mods still built using Trinkets. Check its mod page for more information
Additions
- The Broken Watch's in-world crafting method is now integrated into REI
- The 'Jumpy' attribute on socks is now toggled through a new keybind (defaults to caps-lock) instead of prolonged sneaking while sprinting
Changes
- Text wrapping in tooltips now uses Minecraft's built-in systems to fix a few edge-cases and preserve text styling
- Ported to 1.20.2
This build is mostly a straightforward port to 1.20, after which we will drop support for older versions. Furthermore, Things now uses Lavender (a new, in-house Wisp Forest documentation solution) instead of Patchouli - this means the Almanac works properly again and should keep doing so for all future updates.
Additions
- The Displacement Tome now accepts all items in the
things:displacement_tome_fuels
tag as fuel - Both variants of Gleaming Ore have been added to the
c:ores
block tag - All interactions with an Agglomeration now get passed through to the selected agglomerated item
Changes
- The Displacement Tome's interface has been rewritten using owo-ui for improved UX and visuals
- Fuel is no longer inserted into the Displacement Tome by sneak right-clicking, rather the item itself must be right-clicked onto fuel in the inventory
Fixes
- A semi-rare crash when wearing a Mining Glove near a beacon has been fixed (#52)
- The Infernal Scepter advancement is no longer awarded upon damaging any item (#56)
Changes
- Added the Agglomeration, a trinket which is used to combine two other trinkets which occupy the same slot. Given that this is quite powerful, it can be disabled via the config and individual items can be blacklisted using the
things:agglomeration_blacklist
tag - The Item Magnet now uses a more intricate charge system that is better tailored towards quick bursts of usage, making it a much more enjoyable tool
Fixes
- The invalid and unneeded broken watch recipe has been removed
- The Deepslate Glowstone Fixture now has a crafting recipe
- A semi-rare crash that occured when looking at a just-placed item with WAILA has been mitigated
Additions
- Shock Absorber: A late-game trinket that reduces both fall and kinetic damage by 75%
- Arm Extender: A mid to late-game trinket extends both attack and mining reach by two blocks
- Broken Watch: A mid-game trinket that extends potion effect duration by 50% when worn
Tweaks
- The Bater Wucket now works as a Transfer-API storage, meaning you can use it, for example, to fill tanks from tech mods
- There is now a default-off config option to make containers locked by a container key indestructible
Bugs Fixed
- Using the Infernal Scepter with a Fire Charge in your offhand no longer crashes the game
