- Butterfly creative tab entry fix was not ported to 1.19.2 -- ported it.
- Fixed Lions having adult mane textures when babies + a few other Lion texture issues that were introduced when random mane spawning was added.
- Removed some extra experimental recipes / loot tables.
- Fixed some more animal animations.
🔧 Naturalist 4.0.2 — Patch Notes
Some of these patches are specific to 1.19.2 but most were made to both versions.
- Fixed certain Lizard models not having the proper texture — deleted old extra textures.
- Fixed Leopard Geckos not having a special tail + ported them to 1.19.2.
- Updated Lizard textures a bit.
- Removed Butterfly items registering in every creative tab — 1.19.2 now only has the default Butterfly item in the tab but they still spawn from eggs fine.
- Lions now spawn randomly from Spawn Eggs with or without manes.
- Caterpillars now need to be caught with Bug Nets.
- Fixed Deer and Lizard head wobbling.
🔧 Naturalist 4.0.1 — Patch Notes
- All unused recipes, sounds, models, and textures have been removed and localized so they don’t take up space.
- Added a couple recipes for Alex’s Mobs compatibility.
- Lions’ arms are now inside of their body to avoid strange visuals when maned Lions turn their heads.
- Alligators are no longer passive after killing mobs.
- Vultures now hold items in their beaks again.
- Snails no longer move while hiding.
- Vulture flight should be fixed — please report any bugs.
- Bug Nets now take damage when catching things. They also no longer put items in the off-hand — they’ll put them in your inventory or drop them on the ground if you do not have inventory space.
1.19.2 Specific :
- 1.19.2 will no longer be maintained unless there are remaining game-breaking bugs.
- Fixed Lion models — babies and lionesses did not previously have individual textures.
🦋 Naturalist 4.0.0 — World of Color
Throughout the past year or so, we’ve gotten a lot of great feedback from the community! This version implements some of that feedback, focusing on improving older features we’ve added to the mod and aiming to improve them. Let us know what you think!
- Initial 1.20.1 Port !
- Made Snails dyeable. Snails can now be right-clicked with any Vanilla Dye item to color them! Putting them in buckets will now show their color as well as a “lore” text underneath saying what color they are for colorblind folks.
- Snails can now be bred with Beetroot — they will lay a clutch of Snail Eggs which will take between 30 seconds and 2 minutes to hatch. There is a random chance of the baby amount being between 2 and 6.
- Butterflies and all bucketed mobs can now be shot out of Dispensers!
- Glow Goop can now be placed, and when not held, its display will be invisible similar to Barriers. If a block is placed in the same spot, their items will drop.
- Butterflies now have variants, and can be caught with a new item — the Bug Net! Caterpillars can also now be picked up. The caught Butterflies can be released or placed in Item Frames.
- LOADS of misc. bugfixes and smaller features.
🐸 Swamplands Patch 3.0.4
- Fixed all heads of mobs that would grow with shaders or when the game is paused — Please inform us if you’re still having issues or new issues arise; this fix is experimental.
- Removed the “Old Models” resource pack — was not really relevant to this version anyway as it’s being used for the future. When the new update is released this resource pack will be uploaded as its own project.
- Changed/fixed Ducks’ tempting/breeding items to only include raw fish, including fish tagged in mods with the appropriate tags such as “#forge:fish” and “#c:raw_fish”.
- Lions, Rhinos, and Elephants now only attack Players if they attack their baby or themselves, and not if the player comes close to their baby.
- Birds now emit Note Block particles when their ambient noise plays, and they do not make ambient noises at night.
- Added tags for Alex’s Mobs compatibility, such as animal hostiles and tempt items.
- Fireflies are now fixed and affected by spawn weights, and now spawn frequently in small groups across the Overworld or anywhere on ground blocks like grass, mud, dirt, etc. as well as leaves. Their new default spawn weight is 200; this can be lowered or raised as needed with a max cap of 1,000.
- Savanna mobs should spawn more regularly now. Their spawns got bugged somewhere along the line.
- Fixed Hippo spawns. They now spawn more frequently, but still relatively uncommonly, on land near water sources or in water sources in Savannas.
- Renamed “Grizzly Bear” to “Brown Bear”.
- Fixed egg hatching subtitles.
🐸 Naturalist :: Swampier Swamps Changelog ( Patch 3.0.2 )
[ ! ] Fixed bug where Fireflies were spawning en-masse on Fabric due to a mixin problem.
-- PLEASE REPORT IF YOU'RE STILL HAVING ISSUES.
🐸 Naturalist :: Swampier Swamps Changelog ( Patch 3.0.1 )
[ + ] Put Butterflies and Dragonflies in the Arthropod mob type.
- They can now be damaged by Bane of Arthropods and should work fine with mods that depend on insects having “Arthropod” defined.
[ + ] Gave Catfish and Alligators a “kill cooldown”.
- They now wait 2 minutes between killing mobs. No more masses of dead fish on top of the water!
- This is a temporary solution as the cooldown applies to egg hostiles as well. We will do another patch to fix this.
[ ~ ] Made Elephants drink while standing on any block.
- They previously only drank when standing atop Grass Blocks.
[ ~ ] Made Tortoise babies tamed after hatching if the parent is tamed.
[ + ] Added tags to new items.
