Original mod: Cave Dweller
Features
- Cave Dweller has lots of additional (configurable) behaviour
- Some issues fixed (e.g. it works in multiplayer)
FAQ
- Another user has created a Fabric port: Cave Dweller Evolved (Fabric)
- There are no plans for < 1.18.2 ports
Commands
Ther are some commands when you use /cave_dweller
fast_forward
: Increase (or decrease) the current spawn or noise timer (in ticks)get_target
: Displays the current spawn target (cave dweller will spawn at its destination and target it)get_timer
: Displays the current spawn or noise timer (in seconds), format being: current / target
Biomes
- Datapack config takes priority (\cave_dweller\tags\worldgen\biome\cave_dweller_surface_biomes.json), by default it contains #forge:is_spooky
- In the configs you can set whether surface biome list is handled as a white- or blacklist
- You can also configure the biomes in the configs but you'll have to enable the override config for that to take effect
Dimensions
- You can manage the dimensions it can spawn in through the configs - by default the Cave Dweller will only spawn in minecraft:overworld
- The entries are based on the dimension resource key, not the dimension type resource key
- If a dimension contains no valid players it it will not tick its logic (e.g. timers will not go down)
- The maximum amount of cave dwellers is per dimension
Compatibility
- If you're using the mod Enhanced AI you will need to add the Cave Dweller to the
[Base.Targeting."Entity Blacklist"]
config entry
