Level up your dog!!

Ever wanted your dogs to be more useful? With Doggy Care now you can make your dog stronger by leveling up!

Before jumping on the datapack features, first some general information:

- This datapack needs a Resource pack, so please download it. You'll need a website to merge resource packs correctly (like: mito.thenuclearnexus.live/).

OPERATOR COMMANDS

/function dogcare:uninstall ---> To unistall correctly the datapack. Use this command each time an update comes out.

/function doglvlup:start ---> To max level the nearest dog.

How it works?

Each time you tame a new dog it will have the ability to absorb xp. The more xp it accumulates, the stronger it gets; unlocking unique perks at a certain xp level. You can keep track of your dog stats with a "dog bed" but for that you'll need a Station Crafter in order to craft all the items that this datapack offers.

Each time a dog levels up, some particles and sounds will play, alongside with an upgrade (like more health, attack damage, movement speed, armor or knockback resistance).

Green particles are early stages, orange particles are mid stages, and purple particles are last stages of xp. The limit is 5600 xp points per dog.

Station Crafter

The Station Crafter is a cool block that doesn't require you to memorize any recipe! You just need to follow the instructions that are on each item that you want to craft.

To get one is as simple as throwing a bone on top of a crafting table!

Dog Beds

These are decorative blocks for your dog, they come in a variety of colors and types of wood for you to choose from.

However they also have an additional purpose, that is to tell the stats of any dog. For this you will need to sit down your dog on top of any bed, then right clic it with a bone and wait a bit for a message to pop up.

Note that if you are not the owner of the dog, nothing is going to happen.

This is very useful for keeping track of how far the dog is from reaching the maximum level, as well as other information such as its health, upgrades, perks or held toys. For more detailed information hover your mouse to display text.

Dog Perks

There are 3 main perks that the dog can unlock at a certain level:

- Defender

-- Base -- If you are near your dog, it will heal (give Regeneration IV) you when you are in low health. However, you MUST restore your full health back in order for your dog to trigger this perk again.

-- With "Heart Pillow" toy --

The process is the same, but each time this dog triggers this perk, will give you:

• Regeneration V for 2 seconds
• Resistance I for 3 seconds
• Speed II for 2 seconds *Strengh I for 5 seconds

- Searcher

For this to trigger, the dog must be in the overworld and be on top of a grass block or podzol!

Every few often, the dog will excavate for loot, you can even get more interesting items with a "Steel Claws" toy

- Tactician

Allows your dog to hold unique toys that can trigger special abilities. However each dog can hold one toy at a time but you can change it whenever you want.

Dog Toys - Misc items

To give a toy to any dog just need to throw the toy directly at it. You'll know it successfully accepted it if some particles and sounds play.

You can find out what each toy does by looking at its description. To get more information check it out on your dog stats!

YOU CAN GIVE ANY MISC ITEM TO A TAMED DOG AT ANY LEVEL!!

Misc items can give additional buffs to a dog (like getting more xp or changing its name color or format), you can see what each misc item does by looking at it's description.

To give a dog a Misc item, you just need to right clic it to the dog you want to get the misc item. Some of them have requierements to be used in first place.
