About
Spells Gone Wrong is a mod that allows you to configure the spells added by the mod Iron's Spells N Spellbooks. If the mod is configured right it can make the spells take more skill to use.
Requires Iron's Spells N Spellbooks 3.1.1+ (Supports MC version 1.19.2 & 1.20.1)
Features [Configurable with a config]
- Spells can hurt owner feature - Allows spells to hurt the player who casted the spell when enabled, if they used the spell wrong, like summoning a lightning bolt to close to themselves. This feature can help create a higher skill ceiling.
- Blackholes can become unstable and explode before the spell expires feature -Â This feature when enabled will cause the black hole to explode randomly around it before the spell expires, causing damage to nearby blocks and players. This feature will also spawn explosion particles inside the blackhole as the spell expires but these particles don't cause damage.
- Ice block spell can cause ice patches feature - This feature when enabled causes the Ice Block Spell to create ice patches on the ground and in water when the ice smashes into the ground or the surface of water. Ice patches will cause already placed ice to turn into packed ice.
- Firefly swarm spell will give glowing to targets feature - This feature when enabled will make the fireflies give glowing to anything it hits. This feature paired with the spell can hurt owner feature can make this spell very dangerous if you cast it very close to you.
- Holy spells will do extra damage to undead mobs - This feature when enabled will make any holy spells that deal damage cause more damage to undead mobs. With Consecration installed, holy spells that deal damage will cause smite weakness on undead mobs.
Feel free to leave feature ideas in the comments!Â
Credits
- A Special thanks to dreadnews on Discord for the idea to allow owners of spells to take damage. This mod was originally going to be a commission for dreadnews on Discord but I wanted to make the idea configurable and expand on some of the spells so I decided to make it a mod and upload it!
